
Do you know a group of youth who are making a difference in our community? I want to hear from you! Reward a group of youth today with an exclusive Winnipeg Blue Bombers game day experience. Chosen groups will receive tickets to a home game where they will be featured on the video boards and will get the chance to meet me in person after the game!
Contestants are encouraged to submit a video showing how they’ve made a difference. Get creative!
Requirements:
– Groups of 15-20 youth aged 17 and younger
– The group should show a commitment to our community
– Chaperones are required to attend the game

Week 3 Winners
The Manitoba Magic
The Manitoba Magic is a not for profit boys and girls basketball club run by volunteers that was established in 2002. They offer all levels from grade 5-12 and compete in local leagues as well as tournaments across North America.
The Manitoba Magic gives back to the community by organizing food drives for Winnipeg Harvest and hosts summer camps for youths.

RHS Child Care
July 13 Harris’ Heroes group was RHS Child Care. This group of kids (nearly 30 6-year olds) raised funds for the Winnipeg Humane Society by baking treats themselves and selling them at a bake sale
Week 2 Winners
Big Brothers, Big Sisters
This weeks Harris Heroes is a group of kids from Big Brothers, Big Sisters. These kids were also chosen to sleep over at the stadium and received jerseys, swag and new beds as many of them never had a bed of their own. A definite bright spot yesterday!

Week 19 Winners
Flora House Youth Program
These children and youth have all committed to a 4 day a week after school program devoted to improve nutrition intake and physical health as well as academic performance in school. These children are also learning to stand up for what is right and good in a community that is plagued with gang life and family/community violence. They are learning to stand proud as indegnous youth doing things in a good way.

Teen Stop Jeunesse
These kids are incredibly valuable to their community as they help out at their local seniors living centre, clean our neighbourhoods, plant gardens and help out kids from underprivileged homes. They’re the glue that holds their community together as one. A great group of kids, that always go above and beyond.
Week 12 Winners
Sisler Hockey Team
This year the team was responsible for running a learn to skate program in collaboration with Shaughnessy park elementary school. Every week the Sisler hockey players would give up 30-45 minutes of their practice ice time to skate and play with young students from Shaughnessy park. The program received money from grants to provide the Shaughnessy park kids with helmets, gloves, skates and sticks.
